What is TUMBLE BUGS?
Tumble Bugs is a dynamic and creative physical education movement program. Our unique curriculum is designed specifically for children between the ages of 12
months and 6 years old.
Our staff are caring, friendly, talented, and trained.
Generally considered the best in the area, the Tumble Bugs program is offered in spacious, safe facilities with the lowest student to teacher ratio available in a group setting. For the past 30 years, Tumble Bugs has increased confidence, strength, balance and coordination in children.
Through our innovative lesson plans, we develop positive self-esteem, broaden imaginations and instill an "I can" attitude. Tumble Bugs is company owned, not a franchise, therefore quality assurance is guaranteed. Once enrolled, your child will have a preferred spot during re-registration for our winter, spring and summer sessions.
"Snuggle Bugs" is a movement education program designed to help the young toddler continue to develop their emerging gross motor, visual motor, and social skills. Parents/Caregivers and instructors work together, playing and interacting with each child in a hands-on manner. Skills are presented in a less structured way, allowing the child the freedom to direct their own experience.
Our "Twos" or pre-drop off Parent Child program encourages older toddlers to show off the skills they've already mastered, and to try new ones as well; balance, strength, social skills, hand-and foot-eye coordination are all a big part of their learning experience.
Skills are presented in a more structured way, encouraging the child to separate from their caregiver for short periods of time and to follow simple directions; fostering independence in an effort to prepare them for our drop-off program.
"Tumble Bugs" is a dynamic motor skill development program for the pre-school aged child.
Using gymnastics as our basis, we engage children in fun, high energy activities that encourage gross motor skills, visual motor skills, balance, vestibular stimulation, and social development. Parents do not participate in the Tumble Bugs program.
"Gym Bugs" is a "pre-gymnastics" class for children ages 5 and 6. Children continue to learn basic, progressive gymnastics skills in a non-competitive atmosphere. Children are recognized for their individual efforts and achievements, and encouraged to have fun as they build skills. Gym Bugs classes also introduce the concepts of strength training, flexibility and muscle conditioning.
The US Academy of Gymnastics program is the next level of gymnastics instruction for girls ages 7 and up.
Our program welcomes both gymnasts with the potential to compete, and those who are purely interested in learning recreational gymnastics. Gymnasts are taught the fundamentals of tumbling, beam, bars and vault in a positive atmosphere that emphasizes personal effort and achievement over "perfection."
Our competitive teams (Prep-Opt, Jr. Novice and Novice) compete at levels 2-6, under the AAU guidelines. In 2011, the Jr. Novice team ranked #1 in the state and #2 in the region.
